GENEVA - Jacqueline Ann (Hughes) Cunningham, 78, of Geneva, N.Y., died peacefully Wednesday (November 14, 2012) at home surrounded by her loving family. Jackie (Nonnie) was affectionately known as ""The Bear"" by her Grandchildren. She would either give you a swat or a hug, if you needed it. Jackie always said ""Flowers are for the living,"" so make sure you give a bouquet to someone you love today.
Friends may call 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday (Nov. 19) at Coe-Genung Funeral Home, 46 W. Main St., Waterloo. The funeral Mass will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 20) at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 48 Pulteney St., Geneva. Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 24) in St. Michael's Cemetery in Penn Yan.

Jackie was born in Seneca Falls and attended Cady Stanton School, graduated from Mynderse Academy in 1952, attended Ithaca College Conservatory, graduated from Freeman Business School, Geneva, 1954.
Jackie was a member of the Mynderse Academy Junior chorus and Varsity Choir and sang in the All State Chorus, Trinity Episcopal Church Choir and St. Stephen's Catholic Church Choir. She had a beautiful soprano voice; taught music at St. Stephen's School, was a playground director at 1ST Ward School in Seneca Falls and was a Home Health Aide for 10 Years.
Jackie met her husband, Tom, in 8th grade and they were married at St. Patrick's Church in Seneca Falls, November 26, 1955. They set up housekeeping in Angola, Indiana where Tom was pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering at Tri State College. From there, they moved 16 times until settling in Geneva in 1960 where they raised 6 children in the house they still occupy.
Jackie was president of St. Stephen's Mothers Club, a member of St. Stephen's bowling league, a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, a member of the Geneva Historical Society, Geneva Rod and Gun Club and a member of the Ladies Sewing Club.
Jackie and Tom, along with their English Bulldog, Maggie, loved to travel in their Motorhome and visited 45 of the 50 states, Canada and Nova Scotia. They also visited Hawaii for a month. No, they didn't drive there in their motorhome, silly.
Jackie enjoyed flower gardening, quilting, sewing, reading and making their home in Geneva a welcoming home for all. She also enjoyed her time spent with her extended family at their campsite on Lake Ontario.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband, Thomas (T.A.) of 57 years, her son Steven (SueMarie), Canandaigua, NY, her daughter, Susan Theriault (friend Terry Young) Pittsford, NY, her daughter Kathleen McLane (Michael), Geneva, NY, her daughter Maureen, Geneva, NY, her daughter Joanne Ende, Seneca Falls, NY, her son Sean (friend Beth G), Corona, CA, extended daughter Monisha Jahn (Richie) Skokie, Il, Grandchildren Scott Theriault (Talia), Chester Springs, PA, Katie Theriault (friend Andrew V), Charlotte, NC, Meghan McLane (fiancé Michael Scutt), Geneva, NY, Erin Cunningham, Manhattan, NY, Ryan Cunningham, Englewood, CO, Mallory McLane (friend Jesse Vora), Dubai, UAE, Adrienne Ende, Amherst, NY, Kenneth Ende and Thomas Ende, Seneca Falls, NY, Aneka and Avar Jahn, Skokie, Il, Great Grandchildren, Mckenzie Scutt, Geneva, NY, Alecs Gilbert, Amherst, NY, Sister in law Gracie Czajkowski (Danny), Momument, CO, two brother in laws, Dick Cunningham (Carol), Bob Cunningham (fiancé Dolly Conover), three dear friends, from 7th grade, Charlene Smith (Raymond), Geneva, NY, from 6th grade, Ann Rogers (David), Seneca Falls, from Ithaca College, Diane Hume, Portland, OR, Cousins Shirley Bajdas (Joseph), Waterloo, NY, Dewey Albro(d), Lodi, NY, John Howes (Jannie), Camilus, NY and many nieces and nephews and many friends from Seneca Falls and Geneva.
