NEWARK/LYONS - James J. Brennan Sr., 84, passed away Wednesday (December 8, 2010), while visiting in California.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday (Dec. 16) at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday (Dec. 17) at St. Michael's Church, Lyons. Burial will be in South Lyons Cemetery.

Jim was born on August 18, 1926 in New York City, a son to John P. and Elizabeth Brennan. He was the owner and operator of the Corner Store in Lyons and later the deli manager for P&C in Newark. He will be remembered as the Bologna Man. He was a great story teller and loved talking to his customers.
Jim is survived by his wife, Cindy Brennan of Newark; three children: James J. (Debby) Jr. of Baldwinsville, Joan (Thomas) Molinaro of California and Joseph (Nicole) of California; five grandchildren: Colleen (James) Barry, Christa Molinaro, Stephanie (Eric) Hertz, Joan and Sean Brennan; four great-grandchildren; several sisters and brothers-in-law; and his beloved cat, Shadow.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Concetta (Connie) in 1997; and son, John.
