MANCHESTER - Janet G. Buell, 94, was lifted into the glory of God on Saturday (May 1, 2010) at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., Wednesday (May 5) at Lyons Presbyterian Church, Broad St., Lyons, where a funeral service will be at 5:30 p.m. Any musician is encouraged to come and sing in the choir to make Janet's service extra special (5 p.m. rehearsal upstairs). Burial will be in Earlville Cemetery.

Janet was born May 4, 1915, in Wyalusing, Penn., a daughter to Henry and Nellie Comfort Gaylord. She retired from Lyons High School as a music teacher, continued teaching piano and later was a personal care aide for Ontario County until the last two years. Meanwhile she was the devoted organist at Lyons Presbyterian Church for the past 56 years.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Roxann) Buell of Phelps; three granddaughters, Adria, Marci and Tracy; four great-grandchildren, Kimberlee, Kaelin, Kylee and Malik; and her beloved Boston Terrier, Rufus III.
She is predeceased by her husband, Roger A. Buell, in 1980 and sister Joanna Hines.
Her many friends and family welcome her into the gates of heaven where she can play the ultimate pipe organ and lead the choir of angels.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps Street, Lyons.
