PHELPS - Marie E. Backus of 170 Bostwick Road, Phelps passed away Monday (July 16, 2012) at Rochester General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Keeping the wishes of Marie, there will be no calling hours. A Memorial service will be held at Norton Funeral Home located at 45 West Main Street in Sodus, N.Y. at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Close friends and family may arrive at noon.
Marie was born February 12, 1952 in Clifton Springs, the Daughter of Emery and Mildred Campbell. She worked as a nurses' aid in various nursing homes and was loved by her co-workers.
She is survived by her Husband, Rodger of 26 years; father, Emery; daughter, Emily (Doug); grandchildren, Brandon, Connor, Tyler and Parker; sister, Sue (Don); brothers, Paul (Kathy), Roger, Mike (Laura) and David (Coreen); aunts, uncles and cousins; many nieces and nephews.
