LYONS - Mary L. Bornheimer, 83, passed away Sunday (April 08, 2012) at DeMay Living Center.

Friends and family may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (April 10) at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (April 11). Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lyons.

Mary was born September 10, 1928. Mary was employed by Ames in Newark for 13 years. She then worked at Grace House in Lyons as a cook, and later as an aide to help others. She was an active member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was always loving and giving. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School at the Maranatha Baptist church. Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening, quilting, playing cards, bingo and traveling. She even learned how to play her guitar.
She is survived by her four children, Ronald Bornheimer of Lyons, Barbara (William) Pullen of Lyons, Katherine Beswick of Greece and Larry (Linda) Bornheimer of Palmyra; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one brother, Arthur Ansteee of Trumansburg and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert F. in 2003 and sister, Freda.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and all the staff at DeMay Living center, Pastor Bottrell and a special thank you to Bill DelPerdange for all their visits.
