PALMYRA: Robert E. Schram, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, (May 17, 2012) from an accident at his home.

Family and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, (May 20) at the Robert L. Yost Funeral Home, Inc., 123 W. Main St.,Palmyra. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 a.m. on Monday, (May 21) at St. Katherine Drexel Parish at St. Anne's Church in Palmyra. Burial will be in Port Gibson Cemetery.

Robert was born on January 12, 1938 in Lyons, N.Y. the son of William and Minnie Finewood Schram. He was a 1955 graduate of Lyons High School. Bob enjoyed working on his farm for the past 46 years. He was a member of St. Anne's Church where he served as an usher for many years. Bob was the president of the Port Gibson Cemetery Association and a member of the Palmyra Moose Lodge where he called bingo.
Mr. Schram is survived by his wife of 52 years, Diane Notebaert Schram; daughter, Robyn (John) Jordan of Clifton Springs; son, Todd (Lisa) Schram of Newark; brother, Bernard Schram; and sister, Doris (Charles) DeWaele both of Lyons; his beloved grandchildren, Courtney and Carson Jordan, Jamie and Kurtis Schram, and Eric Graft.
He was predeceased by his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Schram and Janette Notebaert; and brothers-in-law, Lyle and Charles Notebaert, and Bill Seargent,
