Clifton Springs - Robert H. Eddington, age 89, passed away peacefully Monday (January 27, 2014) at the Clifton Springs Hospital Nursing Home. A memorial service to celebrate Robert's life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday (January 30) at the Clifton Springs Hospital chapel. Burial will be in Orleans Cemetery in the Spring.

Robert was born December 25, 1924, in Geneva, N.Y., the son of the late Henry and Agnes Eddington. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Robert retired from Mobil Chemical after 30 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and wood working. But most of all Robert enjoyed taking care of his family. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Robert will be sadly missed by his loving wife, LaNita Eddington; children, Thomas (Betty) Eddington, Barbara (Alan) Edson, Joseph (Mary) Eddington, Patty (Tom) O'Dell and Robert (Cindy) Eddington; eight grandchildren, four great- grandchildren; brother, Bernard (Connie) Eddington; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Patrick Funeral Home, Clifton Springs.
