SILVER SPRING, MD - - Wilhelmina Driscoll Campbell, 95, passed away on December 2, 2012 at the Arcola Nursing Home in Silver Spring, Maryland. A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday (May 22, 2013) at Lakeview Cemetery in Penn Yan.
Wilhelmina was born on August 30, 1917 in Rochester, N.Y. She moved to Prattsburgh and attended Prattsburgh Elementary School. Wilhelmina moved to the Washington, D.C. area in 1931 and graduated from McKinley High School in 1936. She attended Wilson Teacher's College and graduated from the Washington School for Secretaries. Wilhelmina worked at the Bureau of Printing and Engraving in 1937, for the Procurement Division from 1938-39, for the Office of Alien Property in the United States Department of Justice as a legal secretary from 1944-61 and retired from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service in May 1973.
Arrangements are being handled by the Townsend-Wood Funeral Chapel in Penn Yan.
