Seneca Falls - Valerie J. Cerep Fleming, 55, of Selden, N.Y., passed away on Tuesday (February 25, 2014) after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer with her family at her side in her home in Selden, N.Y.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church in Bellmore, N.Y. on Thursday, February 27, 2014. Burial will be in St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls in the spring.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in her memory, may be made to Ovarian Cancer Research.
Valerie was born in Seneca Falls, N.Y. on February 22, 1959, the daughter of the late Matthew and Josephine DePardo Cerep. She graduated from Mepham High School in Bellmore, N.Y. and later pursued a career as a LPN working for 18 years in area hospitals.
She is survived by her daughter, Erin Margaret Fleming of South Hampton, N.Y.; her two sisters, Judy (John) Beer of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. and Janet (Dallas) DeBower of Auburn, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews and many friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Walter M. Cerep.
