GENEVA - George F. Cook, 93, of East North St., passed away on Wednesday (March 26, 2014) in the Geneva Living Center South.

Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St. on Friday (March 28), 2014, from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
George was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Helen Burger Cook. George was a gas fitter for the NYSEG of Geneva before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and painting and spending time with his family. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish.
He is survived by his sons, Edward Cook and John (Sue) Cook, both of Waterloo; his daughters, Marilyn (Tom) Hoster of Seneca Falls, Carol (Mike) Andrews of Waterloo, Diane Cook of Seneca Falls, Janet (David) Flynn of Geneva; two brothers, Robert (Barbara) Cook of Geneva and Francis (Barbara) Cook of North Carolina; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian, his son Joseph Cook and two brothers, William and John Cook.
