Hunlock Creek- Karen (Palladini) Keller of Hunlock Creek passed away Thursday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, following a lengthy illness.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, 9:30 from Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre, PA. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, Wilkes-Barre. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Memorial donations may made to the Miles for Michael Fund of the Luzerne Foundation, 9 N. Main St., Pittston, PA 18640.
She was born October 8, 1961 in Seneca Falls, NY. Daughter of Arnaldo and Mary Jo (Leone) Palladini. Karen was a graduate of Mynderse Academy High School, Seneca Falls, NY. She was employed as the Office Supervisor of DPS Nutrition, Taylor, PA. Karen and her husband James would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in December of this year.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Geoffrey, Kiesha and her fiancé Mat Gatewood, Desiree and Mackenzie; her sisters Ann (Palladini) Agnello and her husband Sam Agnello, Sonya (Palladini) Wheeler; brother-in-law Stephen Keller and his wife Mary Keller; sister-in-law Mary (Keller) Rossi and her husband William Rossi; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Karen is preceded by her infant grandson James.
The greatest joy of Karen's life was to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed vacationing with her husband.
