Michael Salerno Obituary
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday (April 2) at Boeheim-Pusateri Funeral Home, 77 William St., Lyons. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (April 3) at South Lyons Cemetery with full honors accorded.
Memorial donations may be sent to the Lyons Fire Department.
Skip was born in Clyde, September 26, 1933, the son of Michael and Grace Salerno. He worked for 44 years for Penn Central, NY Central and retired from Conrail. He served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1953 and was in the Korean War; he was a life member of VFW Post 5092. Skip liked to fish, hunt and watch sports on TV.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Anna Husner Salerno; two stepsons, James (Teresa) Salerno of Lyons and Charles (Barb) Salerno of Montana; three step-grandchildren, Rocco, James Jr., and Amanda Salerno; brothers, Richard, Peter (Linda), Paul (Kay) of Clyde, Santo (Louella) of Wolcott, Thomas of Savannah; sisters, Mary Little of North Rose, Janice (Tony) Cinquegrana and Beatrice Swick of Clyde, Debbie Sanford, Polly (Roger) Arliss of Savannah, Kathy Johnson of Clyde, Joyce (Bert) Everhart of Clyde; nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was predeceased by son, Rocco; brother, Robert and sister, Sylvia Peone.
