LYONS- Shirley A. LaRue, 67, of Ross Rd., passed away peacefully on Saturday (February 12, 2011) at Newark Wayne Community Hospital.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 15) at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, where a Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 16). Burial will be in Huron Evergreen Cemetery.

Shirley was born on April 17, 1943 in Gouverneur, a daughter to the late Van and Elizabeth Trombley Petrie. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Randy LaRue, Sr. of Lyons, Laurie LaRue of Newark, Joe (Barb) LaRue, Jr. of Clyde and Shelly (Adam) Pentycofe of Lyons; 14 grandchildren: Brandy, Randy, Jr., Steven, Matt, Morgan, Kayla, Kendra, Cory, Amanda, Amber, Courtney, Jordan, Kyle and Keirsten; five great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Mert (Carolyn) Petrie of Webster, Becky (Ed) Boisclair of Rome; Verah (Ed) Brooks of Messena, Patricia Sheppard of Gouverneur and Pete (Tammy) Petrie of Peru; sister-in-law, Katrina Petrie of Gouverneur; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, Sr. in 2005; brothers: Vernon and Leslie Petrie; and sister, Roxanne Petrie.
