Katherine Bowker Obituary

Penn Yan - Katherine A. Taylor Bowker, age 73, of The Homestead, died peacefully with her friends who had helped her.
There will be a private family service only.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Arc of Yates, 235 North Ave., Penn Yan, NY 14527, serving folks with disabilities.
Katherine was born in Olyphant, Penn., the daughter of the late Desmond and Gertrude Moore Taylor. Raised in Geneva, N.Y., she graduated from DeSales High School in 1957, noted as a "Real Student", "Individualist", "Graceful Charm", "Loved Pizza" and a "Blues Chaser". Katherine later graduated from Cornell University and worked in New York City. She worked in several libraries, and loved to read and walk.
Katherine is predeceased by her brothers, Kevin Taylor, R. James Taylor; and her favorite pet dog, Mikey.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Shirley Taylor; nieces, Katherine Wells, Brenda (Bill) Dueck; nephews, Mitchell Taylor and James (Cheryl) Taylor; great-nieces and nephews, Khya, Angie, Jeffrey, Joshua, Rachael, Sam, Jamie and Justin; and cousins in Colorado and Pennsylvania.
