CLYDE - Harold A. "Pat" Meade, 98, of 10985 Turnpike Rd, Clyde, died Sunday (June 16, 2013) at the Wayne County Nursing Home. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday (June 19th) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Baris Funeral Home, 87 W. Genesee St., Clyde. Masonic services will follow calling hours. Burial and a graveside service will be held on Thursday (June 20th) at 10:00 a.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery Clyde, N.Y., with the Rev. Dana Rattray officiating.

Mr. Meade was born in Clyde, N.Y. on May 23, 1915, the son of Willis and Nellie Lawrence Meade. He graduated Clyde High School. On January 1, 1946 he married the former and late Wilma Derbyshire. Pat had retired from the Newark Developmental Center and from Wayne County as a Weights and Measurers supervisor. Harold was a 69 year Mason of the Clyde Masonic Lodge #241 of the F&A M and an active member of the Clyde Lodge. He had served in every chair including being Master of the Lodge for three different terms. He had served as the Town of Galen Assessor for many years, and was a member of the Wayne County Republican Party. Harold served as treasurer of the Maple Grove Cemetery Assn. for over 30 years and enjoyed traveling with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his sons, Paul (Nancy) Meade of Marion, N.Y. and Charles (Toni) Meade of Clyde; his five grandchildren, Lisa, Heather, Niki, Veronica and Mary and nine great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Harold was predeceased by his son Kevin in 1998 and his wife, Wilma in 2009 and his two brothers Charles Meade and Earl Lawrence Meade.
