John Stoudt Obituary

DUNDEE - John R. Stoudt, age 59, of Dundee, N.Y., formerly of Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday (March 14, 2015) at Schuyler Hospital, in Montour Falls, N.Y.
Friends are invited to calling hours from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday (March 19) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Jane Winters officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., or the Dundee Central School Sports Boosters, P.O. Box 53, Dundee, N.Y., 14837.
John was born July 9, 1955, in Painesville, Ohio, the son of Portia Whittenbaugh Criswell. He was an expert carpenter and 40 year member of the Carpenters Union, Local 281, in Trenton, N.J., retiring in 2014. John was an avid sportsman, who loved hunting and fishing, and was a devoted die hard Pittsburgh Steelers and Duke Blue Devil fan.
He is survived by a son, Jacob L. Stoudt at home; a daughter, Lisa (Justin) Barron of Mars, Penn.; a granddaughter, Natalie Barron; seven siblings, Portia L. Klein of Enola, Penn., Margo A. Trainer of Coopersburg, Penn., Doris L. (Michael) St. Clair of Fremont, Ohio, Kenneth E. (Julie) Stoudt of Wilmington, Ohio, Alice M. Sebring of Mechanicsburg, Penn., Catherine C. (Gary) Schick of Harmony, Penn, Christine L. (David) Barnett of Spring Valley, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his mother, Portia Whittenbaugh Criswell in 1995.
