Donald Maple Obituary

Donald E. Maple, age 90, passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015 of renal failure at his home in Dawsonville, with his family by his side.
Donald was born May 6, 1925 in Waverly, Ohio and after graduating high school was drafted into the Army during World War II. He served in the European Theater of Operations, most notably in France.
After being honorably discharged from the Army, he attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a master's degree in chemical engineering. Thereafter, he began a lifelong career with the DuPont Company. Among his many accomplishments were several patents and being responsible for the building of a new nylon plant in Camden, S.C. He retired from DuPont in 1984.
He is preceded in death by his spouses, Maxine Mae Maple of Dawsonville, and Jo Carroll Maple of Cumming.
Mr. Maple is survived by his son and daughters-in-law, Jedd and Debbie Maple of Dawsonville, Bradley and Elaine Maple of Dawsonville; and his daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Christopher Weller of Gainesville.
