Frances Willey Demers, age 80, of Cumming passed away Dec. 6, 2013. A native of Littleton, Mass., she was preceded in death by her husband, Marcel Robert Demers in 2008; and children, Gerard and Jeannine Demers.
Frances was a homemaker and PTA president of the St. Louis Guild in Lowell, Mass., for 13 years. She was also active in the Moose Club and Womenís Auxiliary in Homestead, Fla. She enjoyed playing bingo and bowling.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Demers Tanner (Johnnie) of Cumming; sister, Virginia Willey Morrison (Donald) of Englewood, Fla.; grandchildren, Jon and wife Adaiha Tanner (currently serving in the Navy), Corey Jay Tanner of Duluth, Desiree and husband Jose Valdez of Orlando, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Dillon Tanner, Jose Valdez Jr., Holly Valdez, Zach Valdez, and Viktor Tanner.
Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, Jan. 3, at 2 p.m. at the McDonald and Son Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Lung Association.
