Adams, Dr. Sam Ernest - Cumming  
Dr. Sam Ernest Adams, (Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine '99) age 56, of Cumming, departed this life to be with our Lord and Savior Thursday, July 30, 2015. He stood steadfast in his faith in Jesus Christ and lived his life as a godly man. He is survived by his parents, James and Irene Adams; his loving wife of 35 years, Debbie; sons, Sam Jr. (Jenna), Chantz (Stephanie), and Zach (Morgan); grandchildren, Chantz Jr., Lane, Kinsey, Grace, and Dusty; brothers, Randy (Margo), Steve (Jody), and Bud (Annette); and nieces and nephews. Dr. Adams was a devoted family man and adored his four grandchildren. During his life, Dr. Adams served his community in many ways; he served as an active member and Deacon at Mountain View Church of Christ. His love for singing and spreading the gospel through song was dear to his heart. He enjoyed traveling, especially to sing with fellow Christians in different locations around the country. He was one of the founders of Mountain Voices, an annual singing event held in North Georgia. Dr. Adams, a veterinarian, owned Creekside Animal Hospital in Cumming, and was held dear by his clients and their pets. Dr. Adams left a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with. He was a faithful steward to clients, animals and most important to those whom he loved. Prior to opening Creekside Animal Hospital, Dr. Adams worked at Orr Animal Hospital. Dr. Adams was a loyal Mississippi State fan who always supported the Bulldogs. Dr. Adams will be sorely missed by family, friends and clients. Services were held Saturday, Aug. 1 at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. McDonald and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mayo, Glenda Jean - Cumming  
Glenda Jean Mayo, our precious mother, Glenda Jean Mayo went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 28th 2015, where she is free from pain, Dementia and Parkinsons Disease. In heaven she joins her beloved husband of 50 years, Colonel (ret.) Bob Mayo; parents Glen and Imogene Freeman; and many dear friends too numerous to mention. Glenda was born May 4, 1937, to Glen C. Freeman and Imogene Freeman. Mother grew up in Asheville, N.C. until high school when the family moved to Winter Park, Fla. She met the love of her life, Bob Mayo in Winter Park. Mother dedicated her life to Jesus Christ, her husband and family. We often told her she had a direct line to God's ear. Always interceding in prayer for family or friends. She loved serving others whether it was fulfilling her duties as an Air Force officer's wife, helping the homeless through Sharing and Caring, volunteer work at the hospital or her Church Shalimar United Methodist. She is survived by her son, David C. Mayo and wife (Lauri); daughter, Beth Tasillo and husband (Bill); grandchildren Drew, Jared, Will, and Lauren; plus nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the loving care our Mom received from Agape Hospice and Chestnut Ridge Nursing Home. Helen Marjorie Buchanan Howell, age 86, of Cumming passed away Monday, July 27, 2015. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Howell; parents, Harley and Lottie Buchanan; brother, Willard Buchanan. She is survived by her sons, Sammy (Dianne) Howell of Ball Ground, Dennis (Cherri) Howell of Marble Hill; daughter, Brenda (Dennis) Bagby of Cumming; brother, Dillard Buchanan of Marble Hill; sisters, Faustine Duckett of Ball Ground, Marcelle Bozeman of Marble Hill; grandchildren, June (Brandon) Densmore, Jimmy Howell, Bridget (Tim) Wyatt, Jammie (Benny) Hopkins, Blake Howell, Brooke Bramblett, Jonathan Howell and fiancée Becky Lively, Brent (Felicia) Howell; 22 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and special friends also survive. Services were held Thursday, July 30, at 3 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Vernie Worley, Dusty Holtzclaw and Brent Howell officiating. Dumphy, Joseph Jude "Joe"  
Joseph Jude "Joe" Dumphy, age 15, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015. Born June 10, 2000 in Dallas, Texas, Joe had lived in Forsyth County for the past 11 years. He was a rising sophomore at North Forsyth High School where he was a member of the varsity golf team and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Joe was also a member of Chestatee Golf Club and played on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. He was truly a Christian at heart, as he put his heart and soul into everything he did with dedication and an incredible work ethic. Even in his death, Joe was able to make an impact with the donation of five of his organs to others in need so that they may live. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, John Joseph Dumphy. Surviving are his parents, Charles F. "Charley" and Deborah A. "Deb" Dumphy, Dawsonville; sister, Olivia Dumphy, Dawsonville; and grandparents, Elizabeth A. "Betsy" Dumphy, Cumming, Janice Nixon, Plymouth, Mass., Charles and Patti Michaud, Fall River Mass. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Cumming. Fr. Frank Richardson and Fr. Charles Dumphy will officiate. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to "The Joe Dumphy Memorial Golf Scholarship", c/o Moore Wealth Management, 210 Washington St. NW Suite 106, Gainesville, GA 30501.
