James Richard Blackley, 67, of Cumming passed away Feb. 3, 2014. A native Georgian, he was born in Atlanta. His father, James Wallace Blackley and son, Perrin Blackley predeceased him.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Donna Jean Blackley of Cumming; children, Leah Marie Blackley of San Antonio, Texas, Bryan Kenneth Prewitt of Cumming, William Camden (Kristan) Stanforth of Dayton, Ohio, Kristin (John) DeAtley of Loveland, Ohio, Kelley Woodall of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Madison, Eden, Chase, Remy, Chloe, Jordan, Noah and Wyatt; mother, Margaret Blackley of Cornelius, N.C.; brother, Donald (Pam) Blackley of Cornelius, N.C.; mother-in-law, Norma Jean Strader of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother-in-law, James Kenneth Strader of North Carolina; and nephews, Brandon and Blair.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held Saturday, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs.
