Mrs. Margaret Owens, age 84, of Cumming passed away Dec. 27, 2013. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and special friend to so many. Mrs. Owens was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Cumming where she attended the Welcome Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Owens; and son, Scott Owens.
She is survived by her children, Mark and Debbie Owens of Marietta; Blake and Dana Owens of Cumming; Stacey and Jason Hipps of Cumming; grandchildren, Jessica and Cody Pannell, Chris Owens, Stephanie Owens; great-grandchildren, Juliana Owens and Jackson Hipps.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Cumming, with the Rev. Scott Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Margaret Owens Fund in care of the First Baptist Church of Cumming, 1597 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA 30040.

I had the very best Aunt and Uncle anyone could ever ask for. I will always cherish the memories and be ever so thankful that Margaret and Jack were a part of my life. So thankful that we got to spend time together in the last couple of months. I love you Memaw!
