Mrs. Peggy Doris Curbow Breeden, age 80, of Blue Ridge passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Murray Medical Center in Chatsworth. She was a longtime member of the Ozion Baptist Church. Born in Fannin County, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Lucy Rapier Curbow. Her husband, Wade Breeden Sr., also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Breeden had worked for many years as a nurse's aide for the nursing home in Blue Ridge. She was an avid financial supporter of the Compassion International and Feed the Children organizations.
She is survived by her two sons, Wade Breeden Jr. of Chatsworth, Billy Breeden of Blue Ridge; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Deborah and Bro. Roger Hooker of Chatsworth, Marilyn Breeden of Fairbanks, Pa., Louise and Benny Grogan of Cumming; two brothers, Tommy and Kennon Curbow, both of Blue Ridge; five grandchildren, Tony Breeden, Dawn McIntyre, Scott (Natalie) Grogan, Ashley Hooker, Matthew Saxon; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. from the O'Zion Baptist Church, with Brother Roger Hooker officiating. A eulogy will be given by Benny Grogan. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, Dec. 15, from 4-9 p.m.
