Sarah Cross Lynch, 90, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 7, 2013, in Atlanta.
Sarah served in the U.S. Naval Coast Guard during World War II
and was a member of Cumming's Parkway Presbyterian Church.
Known for her vivacity, she loved being with family and friends and traveling throughout the world.
She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Lynch.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Rosario Lynch of San Miguel de Allenede, Mexico; daughters, Jennifer Gilkerson of Atlanta, Ellen Ball of Hickory, N.C.; grandchildren, Benjamin Gilkerson, Sarah Gilkerson, Sam Ball; sisters, Vivian Gay, Barbara Maloney; and many other family members.
A memorial service will be held at Parkway Presbyterian Church in Cumming, Friday, July 12, at 2 p.m. Interment at the Georgia National Cemetery is scheduled for a later date.

Cremation Society of Georgia in Atlanta is in charge of arrangements.
