Elizabeth Hudgins Scroggins

Elizabeth Hudgins Scroggins, age 74, of Cumming passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Thomas Scroggins; grandson, Scotty Thomas Samples; parents, James and Chesty Hudgins; brothers, Lee Hudgins, Leonard Hudgins; and sister, Mae Jones.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Margie and J.W. Samples, Kathy and Dennis Bailey, Debra and Tommy Freeman, Teresa and Matt Smith; grandchildren, April and Chris Cox, Heather Smith, Tabitha and Dustin Wilkes, Mindy Barrett Jones, Ashley and Charles Davenport, Cody and Amber Freeman, Emili and Anni Bailey; great-grandchildren, Krissy, Gracie, Chloe and Lily Cox, Scout and Abby Samples, Emerson and Carlyann Wilkes, Mackenzie and Georgia Barrett, Lucas Jones, Harlie Grace Freeman; sisters and brothers, Vernon and Pat Hudgins, Iona and Glenn Greenwald, Sherry and Jim Cooper, Betty and Robert Dowis, Bobby and Cheyanne Hudgins, Diane and Chris Henry; sister-in-law, Ruthell Hudgins.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 16, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Garry English, the Rev. Dennis Bottoms, the Rev. Ruel Martin and the Rev. Harold Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, Sept. 15, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 16, from 9 a.m. until hour of service.
