James Leroy Hargreave, 90 of Cumming passed away Oct. 28, 2013, at his home. Born in Wilkes Barre, Pa., he was the son of the late Joseph and Bertha Hargreave. His beloved wife, Juanita, also predeceased him.

James retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years, six months and one day of service. He served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam as a pilot. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed by his family.
He is survived by his children, Richard (Cindy) Hargreave, Barbara Grogan, Cathy (Michael) Massie, Delores (Henry) Shoemacher and Joseph Hargreave; 12 much-loved grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 9 a.m. until service time.
James will be buried at sea with military honors at a later date.
