Kenneth Wayne Carter, M.D., age 59, of Gainesville, formerly of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Marietta, passed away March 30, 2013. Kenneth graduated from Wheeler High School in Marietta, the University of Georgia in Athens and the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He was board certified in neonatology and pediatrics and practiced in Pensacola, Fla., at Sacred Heart Hospital from 1984-2000 and at Cumming Pediatrics (Northside Hospital-Forsyth) from 2001 to the present. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Verlon Carter.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Brabham Carter; son, Clifton Carter; daughter, Maggie Carter; grandson, Dante Warren; mother, Ludella Ollis Carter; brothers, Larry Carter and Jerry Carter; sister, Linda Carter Denman; and many loving relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, at 2 p.m. at Cumming First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kathie Stasko and Rev. Dr. Buddy Corbin officiating.
