Albert E. Carreno, 74, of Suwanee, formerly of Bayville, N.Y., passed away March 19, 2011, at home surrounded by his beloved family. He retired New York City Police Department detective of 20 years, retired administrative director of buildings and grounds for Locust Valley Central School District, retired evidence custodian of Forsyth County Sheriff's Department.
He was a loving husband of 49 years to wife, Doris; beloved father of children, Cathy (Joe) Couvillion, Robert (Kathleen) Carreno; grandchildren, Kristyn, James, Emily and Sarah; brother, Robert Carreno; and mother, Josephine Carreno.
A celebration of Albert's life will be held Sunday, March 27, at 1 p.m. at Grand Cascades Subdivision clubhouse, 151 Rivergate Drive in Suwanee. All are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Grand Cascades Landscape Committee, checks to be made payable to GCCA/Landscape Committee in memo In Memory of Al Carreno and mailed to HMS, Incorporated, P.O. Box 2458, Alpharetta, GA 30023.
