Andrew Guy, left this life to be with the Lord after a valiant six year battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis Thursday, July 28, 2016.
Mr. Guy was a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and an officer in the U.S. Army. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his accomplishments in Vietnam. He was a successful businessman and was proud of his many accomplishments in the technology marketplace.
However, he was most proud of his roles as a husband, father and grandfather. He was both humbled by and thankful for the love, care and affection he received from his best friend, Rose Mary Brown throughout their 49 years of marriage.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Brown; sons and daughters-in-law, David (Julie) Guy, Chris (Katie) Guy; grandchildren, Kayla, Janna, Aidan, Jackson, Miller Guy; sisters, Pattie Guy Yedevia (Richard), Barbara Guy Leahy (Tom), Susan Guy Piper (Mark); brothers, Dave Guy, Anthony Guy.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the McDonald and Son Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, Aug. 1, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
McDonald and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
