Bethalue "Beth" Alyeice Odom, 67, of Cumming died at her home on July 18, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Sophia and Clifton Richards. Her beloved husband, Johnnie Franklin Odom Sr., brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Phyllis Richards also predeceased her.
Beth was a mother and grandmother to all and will always be remembered for her smile and caring personality. She worked for many years at the Sperry and Hutchinson Co. in Norcross. Beth and Johnnie moved to Cumming in 1994 from Stone Mountain. Her warm heart and loving hugs were always welcomed. She loved nature's beauty, so the family will celebrate her life by wearing beautiful colored clothes at her memorial service.
Beth is survived by her son, Clifton Cain (Carre) Odom of Park Rapids, Minn.; daughter, Kandee Angela (Tim) Godfrey of Cumming; mother-in-law, Geneva A. Odom of Decatur; sister-in-law, Tish (Donald) Teal of Blairsville; grandchildren, Dakota Odom, and Courtney, Amanda and Joshua Godfrey; nieces, nephews and their families.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008, in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Beth Odom to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Foundation, www.choa.org or (404) 785-GIVE.
