Braughton C.A. Mauldin, age 83, of Cumming passed away peacefully at Embracing Hospice, Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014. Braughton was born June 29, 1930. He was a member of Longstreet Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleave and Winona Mauldin; his wife of 26 years, Betty Mauldin; sister, Winnie Lee Drake; brothers-in-law, Edwin Terry, Calvin Thompson, Jim Orr, Donald Creamer; sisters-in-law, Sadie Orr, Carolyn and Charity Creamer.

He is survived by his daughter, Louise Mauldin and family; stepdaughter, Carol Howard of Cumming; sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel Terry of Milton, Virginia and Rex Roden of Cumming, Zolla and Chuck Garrett of Villa Rica, Robert Drake of Florida; sisters-in-law, Jane Thompson of Cumming, Deanie Creamer of Cumming; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Jan. 5, at 2:30 p.m. at Bethelview United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Henry Wade, the Rev. Wendell Thompson, the Rev. Don Underwood, the Rev. Nancy Meeker and the Rev. Travis Bridgeman officiating. Interment will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Saturday, Jan. 4, from 2-6 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 5, from noon until hour of the service.
