Brian Christopher Parks (Superman), age 20, stepped into the holy gates of heaven Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Brian was a vivacious spirit that was highly involved in school and church organizations. He was member of North Point Community Church, where he was an active member of Inside Out. Brian was also a member of the South Forsyth High School DECA Chapter, Rally Foundation and the Brain Tumor Foundation. He was Camp Sunshine Prom King of 2009 and was also voted Mr. South Forsyth High School 2010-2011. He was eager to pursue his passion for music and he was accepted into the Art Institute of Atlanta.
Brian was the beloved son of Andrea Hutchinson, devoted brother of Brittany Stribling, son of Malcolm Parks. Brian also leaves behind two stepbrothers, Malcolm Mayo and Christian Barnes, and a host of loving family and friends. Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Theresa Hutchinson.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 4, at North Point Community Church in Alpharetta from 5-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, at 11 a.m. at North Point Community Church with interment to follow at Green Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Helping Hands.
