Mr. Chris Chavez, age 24, of Forsyth County passed away Monday, March 22, 2010. He was a member of Roanoke Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mack L. and Mary Jean Holbrook, and Elvira Chavez.
Survivors include his father, Jose Chavez of Cumming; mother and stepfather, Tracy and Keith Franklin of Gainesville; sisters, Jacqueline Cuddy of Texas; stepbrother, Justin Franklin of California; stepsister, Lucretia Collins of Blairsville; stepgrandparents, Gene and Marilyn Gingrich of Michigan; aunts and uncles, Stacey and Joe Beasley, Charles Barrett of Cumming, Tony Chavez, Paz Chavez, Frank Chavez, all of Texas, Meguel Chavez of Winder, Sara Lopez of Texas; cousins, Kyle Hanson, Allyson Beasley of Cumming; several other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 28, at 9 a.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clark Watson and the Rev. Ruel Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday, March 26, from 2-9 p.m. and Saturday, March 27, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
