Clyde C. Arnette, age 92, of Cumming passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011. He was born June 20, 1918, in Perdido, Ala. Clyde was a veteran of World War II and a member of Deer Creek Shores Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 444 for 55 years and had retired from the General Motors Plant in Doraville as superintendent of maintenance. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mayum P. Arnette; and son, James B. Arnette.
Survivors include his best friend and companion, Patsy Jacoby of Cumming; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Gail Arnette of Stockbridge; daughter-in-law, Vicki Arnette of Flowery Branch; brother, Noel Arnette of Pensacola, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Sam Powell of Stockton, Ala.; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 19, at 11 a.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Wednesday, May 18, from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Forsyth County, P.O. Box 337, Cumming, GA 30028.
