Daniel Bruce Bosse, age 82, of Cumming passed into God's hands Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, after a short illness.
He was born Jan. 18, 1933, in Evansville, Ind. He was a graduate of Indiana University (B.S., MBA) in marketing and St. Louis University (Ph.D). He was with Kroger until 1959 when he joined the faculty at SIUE as a marketing professor. He was a master gardener with the University of Illinois and often hosted a radio call-in show on gardening. He was also a member of the choir and an adult Bible class instructor at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wood River, Ill., before moving to Cumming, where he became actively involved in Christ the King Lutheran Church. He was also on the board of directors of Metro-East Lutheran High School, Edwardsville, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Thelma (Pleak) Bosse. He is survived by four children, Valerie (Keith) Hunter, San Antonio, Texas, Mark Bosse, Chicago, Ill., Bruce (Juling Yang) Bosse, Alpharetta, Daniele (Chris) DeVore, Tuscola, Ill.; and two grandchildren, Zachery DeVore and Benjamin Bosse.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 31, at noon at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1135 Bettis Tribble Gap RD; Cumming, GA 30040.
