Dean Brent Salzsieder, 61, of Cumming passed away at his home on Oct. 16, 2008. A native of North Dakota, he was the son of the late George and Ingrid Salzsieder. A longtime resident of Albany, he had lived in Cumming since 1997.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Salzsieder spent much of his career with Bell South. He was a passionate fan of the Beatles. Other enjoyments were spending time with his family. His hobbies included collecting music and movies.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Martha Salzsieder of Cumming; daughters, Tami (Blaine) Singleton of Asheville, N.C., Niki (Simon) Wilkes of Dawsonville; son, Matt Salzsieder of Asheville, N.C.; sister, Carol (Larry) Nannenga of Lamoure, N.D.; grandchildren, Wyatt Singleton, Noah and Cash Salzsieder.
A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, in the chapel at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Dean Salzsieder to Hormone-Refractory Cancer Association Inc., c/o Bruce Laumeister - Treasurer, CTC Corporation, P.O.
