Mrs. Debbie Jean Cash, 55, of Gainesville passed away March 8, 2010. Born in Forsyth County on Dec. 8, 1954, she had lived most of her life in Hall County. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilford "Whiz" Hubbard; and father-in-law, Alton Cash.
A graduate of Forsyth County High School, she spent many years in banking and was most recently employed by Regions Bank in Gainesville. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who spent her life loving and caring for her family. She was an energetic person devoted to work and loved to have fun. Known by her family as "Mimi", she spent the last six years of her life blessed with a wonderful granddaughter, Kinsley Cash, who brightened up even the darkest of days. She loved music and loved to dance. She was an original member of a local, not-so-famous singing group, "The Shilettes." Debbie Cash will be missed by friends and family and will be cherished in their hearts forever.
Mrs. Cash is survived by her husband, Marlin Cash of Gainesville; son and fiancée, Kyle Cash and Hillary Dobson of Gainesville; daughter, Marla Cash of Gainesville; mother, Ruby Imogene Hubbard of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Beth Hubbard of Dawsonville; mother-in-law, Helen Cash of Gainesville; grandchildren, Kinsley Cash of Gainesville; nephews, Thomas and John Hubbard of Dawsonville; and special friend, Lisa Garrett of Gainesville.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, in the chapel of Little and Davenport Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley Mize officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 12, from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
