Diane Hight Hall, born July 25, 1944, passed away Sept. 18, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Burnette; and grandmother, Hazel Burnette.
Diane is survived by her husband of 44 years, John Q. Hall Jr.; their two daughters, Tambra (Tammy) and Cheryl and their spouses, Eric Sheffield and Joshua Wright, all of Cumming; three grandchildren, Tristan Sheffield, Mitchell Wright, Sydney-Grace Diane Wright; uncle and aunt, Bob and Miriam Burnette of Lilburn; cousins, Michael, Donna, Darron, Shareon; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Susan and Tom Burnette of Savannah, Linda and John Bell of Douglasville; several other relatives also survive.
Diane was born in Atlanta. She attended and graduated Roosevelt High School where she was head majorette. She began the G.A. program at First Baptist Church of Cumming where she was the director and teacher for 15 years. She was also a teacher in the Youth II for seven years. Diane had a gift of making every person she crossed on her many paths feel loved and special beyond measure.
Services will be held at Cumming Baptist Church on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Roger Williams officiating. Remains will be placed in state at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Sat., Sept. 20, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
The family has requested that donations, in lieu of flowers, be made to Huntington's Disease Society of America at HDSA, 505 Eighth Avenue, New York, NY 10001-5300.
