Donald Webster Martin, age 75, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014. Born May 11, 1939, to Buell and Edith Cain Martin, he was an avid hunter and gardener. He was the owner of Cumming Barbershop and also a realtor. As a lifetime resident of Forsyth County, he was a Deacon at Coal Mountain Baptist Church for many years.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Buell and Edith Martin; sister, Laura Edna Martin; and three brothers, George Washington ""Gid"" Martin, Earl Wayne Martin and Charles Matas ""Buck"" Martin.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Vivian Henderson Martin, daughter of the late Tommy and Belle Henderson; son, Tim Martin; daughter and son-in-law, Scarlett and Jerry Sams; grandchildren, Trevor Sams and Gracie Sams; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Shirley Martin; sisters, Mary Alice Thomas and Diane Gravitt; sister-in-law, Zeliah Martin.
Funeral services were held at Coal Mountain Baptist Church Sunday, July 27, with the Revs. Craig Richard and Danny Bennett officiating. Interment was at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming.
