Dwight Landon Taylor of Big Canoe passed away Oct. 21, 2012. Born in Dunwoody on March 2, 1984, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dwight Lee Taylor II; grandfathers, Rev. Edward V. Taylor Sr. and Lawrence A. Justice; grandmother, Lelon M. Justice; and uncle, Eddie "ET" Taylor.

Landon earned a computer networking degree from Lanier Technical College and a creative writing degree from Western State College in Gunnison, Colo. He worked at Taylor, Turner, Hartsfield Insurance in Cumming.
Landon is survived by his parents, Debbie and Dwight Taylor of Big Canoe; grandmother, Dorothy "Dot" Taylor of Cumming; brother, Will Cameron and wife Billie Jo Whitehead of Cumming; sister, Amy and Chad Willis; nephews, Miles and Graham Willis, all of Greensboro, N.C.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 25, from 5-9 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. until high noon at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Services will be at noon at McDonald and Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. Travis Bridgeman, the Rev. Jeff Falkowski and the Rev. Randy Hall officiating. Music will be provided by Alecia and Travis Bridgeman, Jaymi Galpin, Bill Pound and Art Shand. Pallbearers will be Kevin Rich, Jake Kirby, Cass Harris, Erin Whitt, Chad Willis, Will Cameron, Kevin Daniel and Brandon Thornhill. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Taylor, Turner and Hartsfield Insurance Company. Graveside services will immediately follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
Flowers will be accepted and donations may be made to Big Canoe Animal Rescue, 10676 Big Canoe, Jasper, GA 30143.
