Earle "Mark" Cederquist, age 69, passed away Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at his home in Cumming.
Mark was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., and moved to Chicago, Ill., in 1964, to attend Alexian Brothers School of Nursing. He met his wife Joan, also studying nursing, and they married in 1968.
Mark served from 1967 to 1970 as a Captain in the United States Armed Forces and spent a year in Viet Nam. Mark's career was impressive and included nursing in critical care, emergency room, and cardiology. Mark lived a full and very active life, loved woodworking, shooting, photography, cooking and baking, spending time with family and friends and riding his almost new Harley. He retired in 2012, but within a month was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.
Mark is predeceased by his parents, Mary Jane and Earle. He is survived by his wife, Joan; their loving son, Timothy Cederquist and his wife Laura; and grandson, Cameron; He is also survived by three brothers and a sister, Mitch (Jenn), Dana (Laurie), Virginia (Dan), and Patrick (Kim); Mark leaves an array of good friends, 'pals', family (including many nieces and nephews) and just about everyone whose lives he touched. Mark knew no strangers and was loved by all.
Memorial mass to be held at St. Brendan's Catholic Church in Cumming Saturday, March 7, at 11 a.m.
