Mrs. Edna Jewell Bramblett Evans, age 89, a lifelong resident of Cumming passed away Monday, June 7, 2010. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Methodist Church and attended New Harmony Baptist Church for many years, where she taught Sunday School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, R.W. Evans. Mrs. Evans loved her family.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Delores Evans of Cumming; grandchildren, Bradley and Suzanne Evans, Jennifer and Jason Stowe, all of Cumming; great-grandchildren, Dylan Evans, Austin Stowe, Ava Stowe, Addison Stowe; sisters, Winnie Tallant, Annette Cain, both of Cumming; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Henry and Louise Evans, Gene and Sarah Evans, Bob and Sue Evans, all of Cumming; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 9, at 2 p.m. in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Purcell, the Rev. David Tinsley, the Rev. Jerry Orr and the Rev. Jerry Truett officiating. Entombment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Tuesday, June 8, from 4-9 p.m. and Wednesday, June 9, from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
