Edward D. Bradley Jr. passed away Nov. 24, 2012. He was a member of Johns Creek Baptist Church.
After working in various jobs during his life, Edward finally discovered his calling as an elementary school teacher. He truly loved teaching the younger children and often stated that it made him feel good to see a child's face "light up" when they learned something new. He began his teaching career at Avondale Elementary School in DeKalb County, where he taught kindergarten and second grade. He moved to Forsyth County where he spent many years teaching at Mashburn Elementary School.
After retiring, he worked part-time at Chestatee Elementary in Forsyth County. One of his many joys was the Christmas party he and Kathy held at their home every year for his students and their parents.
Edward is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kathy; her brother, sisters, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held Dec. 15 at 1 p.m. at Johns Creek Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Edward's memory to Kathy Bradley, P.O. Box 2403, Cumming, GA 30028.
