Edward Lewis Croy, age 64, of Forsyth County passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010.
Edward was of the Baptist faith. During his time in the Army he was the recipient of The National Defense Service Metal, The Vietnam Campaign Metal, The Vietnam Service Metal, Expert (Rifle M-14) The Combat Infantryman Badge, The Driver and Mechanic Badge with Bar and One Overseas Bar.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, G.J. and Grace Croy; son, Eddie Croy; and brother, Raymond Croy.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Joyce D. Croy of Forsyth County; children, April and Jason Holbrook of Forsyth County, Andrew Croy of Forsyth County; sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and J.B. Seabolt of Forsyth County; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Linda Croy of Forsyth County; grandchildren, Mollie and Jake Holbrook; several nieces, nephews and other loving relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 3 p.m. at Ophir Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Cowart, the Rev. Troy Milford, the Rev. J.B. Seabolt officiating. Interment will follow at Ophir Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Monday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ophir Baptist Church in Ball Ground.
