Edward Victor Reszutek, 96, of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. Ed was born March 23, 1918 in Newark, NJ to the late Joseph and Frances Reszutek. Ed served our country with distinction and was a World War II veteran. Starting in 1939 he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He later became a U.S. Navy Warrant Officer aboard the U.S.S. Wakefield during the
war. Ed was honorably discharged in 1946. Ed married Jean Stella Kanasuik in 1943 and lived in Colonia NJ for 34 years where they raised their family. He worked as an accountant for Lehigh Warehouse, Inc. in Newark, NJ and later for JMK BMW Dealer in Springfield, NJ. After retiring, Ed and Stella moved to Toms River where they resided for 20 years. In 2004 they moved to Cumming, GA. The family of Ed Reszutek would like to express how honored they are to have had him in their lives. He will be remembered as a caring and loving father and grandfather. Besides being involved with family, he
will also be remembered as a devoted fan of westerns, the Yankees and the Giants. Father, husband, grandfather, brother and uncle, he will be greatly missed.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Jean Stella Reszutek; sister Adell (Harry) Flauss; and brother, Fred (Sophie) Reszutek.
He is survived by his son, Gregory (Margaret) Reszutek of Cumming, GA; daughter, Renée (Raymond) Seney of East Nassau, NY; and grandchildren, Jason, Brendan, and Sara Seney; sister-n-law, Deanna Kanasink; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 66 Lacey Road, Whiting, NJ on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish, 130 St. Maximillian Lane, Toms River, NJ on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 10:30am. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Toms River, NJ.
