Elizabeth "Beth" Brooks Bagwell, age 93, of Cumming passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016. Beth was a long time member at Brookwood Baptist Church. She was a born again Christian, loved Jesus and the Church as an entire body. Beth was a devoted and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved the peacefulness of the beach and excelled in shell craft and the education of young children. At 93, she was a master of various games on her IPad.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George Winton Bagwell; parents, Haynie and Lethia Brooks; brothers and sister, Haynie Brooks Jr., Leon Brooks, Joyce Summers.
Survivors include her children, Carole and Howard Clayton of Cumming, Ronnie and Merry Bagwell of Winder, Jan and Larry Garner of Loganville; six grandchildren and spouses; 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, at 11 a.m. in Brookwood Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Huskins officiating. Interment will follow in Brookwood Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 6-9 p.m. and at Brookwood Baptist Church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until hour of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brookwood Baptist Church Mission Fund, 2775 Brookwood Road, Cumming, GA 30041.
