Frances Davis, age 93, of Newnan, formerly of Cumming, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cumming. She enjoyed gardening and loved sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Herbert R. Davis; parents, James Marion and Eva Lenore Trout; son-in-law, Larry Carroll.
She is survived by her children, Ray and Sherry Davis of Sharpsburg, Nancy Carroll of Jefferson; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Max Trout; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, Sept. 8, at 3 p.m. at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens, with Dr. Bob Jolly officiating. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home Sunday from 2 p.m. until hour of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southwest Christian Care, 7225 Lester Road, Union City, GA 30291.
