Greg Sizemore, 54, of Marietta died on Aug. 28, 2008, at Kennestone Hospital. He was the son of the late Lamar Sizemore Sr. and Elizabeth Sizemore Thibedeau.
Greg graduated from Avondale High School, attended Georgia Tech and graduated from Mercer University. He specialized in construction and home remodeling. Greg spent countless hours helping the Pope High School football team where his son plays. He considered his four beautiful daughters as his greatest blessing in life. Greg was a devoted father, a loving son and brother whose unbounded passion for life will be missed by all who know and loved him.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Sheri Stebbins of Marietta; parents, Elizabeth and John Thibedeau; daughters, Elizabeth and Stephanie Sizemore of Atlanta, Emily and Katie Sizemore of Reidsville, N.C.; son, David Stebbins of Marietta; brothers, Lamar (Sandy) Sizemore of Macon, Alan Sizemore of Atlanta; sister, Kathy Sizemore of Alpharetta; step-brothers, John (Cindy) Thibedeau, Jr. of Peachtree City, Jim (Mary Ann) Thibedeau of Atlanta, Bob (Sue) Thibedeau of Pittsburg, Pa., Tom (Judy) Thibedeau of Decatur; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at noon Tuesday, Sept. 2, in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Cromartie officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, Sept. 1, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Gregory P. Sizemore to the Football Booster Club of Pope High School, 3001 Hembree Road, Marietta, GA 30062.
