Herschel A. (Hal) Storch, 90, of Roswell passed peacefully Dec. 23, 2010. A longtime business owner, he moved from Houston, Texas, in 1981 to Atlanta where he purchased and ran Specialty Mailers Envelope Company until his retirement. He was born in Yale, Okla., and grew up in Lincoln, Neb. After World War II he relocated to San Francisco where he lived and worked until 1972. As a member of the U.S. Coast Guard, he was at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7 and was also present in Tokyo Bay for the Japanese surrender in 1945.
He is survived by his wife, Linda H. Storch; son, Carl A. Storch; stepsons, Brent Allen and Troy Tully; stepdaughters, Joy Lynn Johnson, Jane Duryea; sister, Sharon Varni; brother, William Storch; a host of nieces, nephews grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
