James Christopher Kopacz, 64, of Cumming passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012. Born in Jersey City, N.J., he was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Harriet Kopacz.
James graduated from St. Peter's College. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He owned and operated his own company selling industrial pumps.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Donna Kopacz; son, Matthew (Elizabeth) Kopacz of Ball Ground; daughter, Melissa (Paul Brand) Kopacz of San Francisco, Calif.; daughter, Stefanie (Cleuder Assuncao) Kopacz of Alpharetta; brother, Tom (Lorraine) Kopacz; niece, Victoria; nephew, Charles; three pugs, Dexter, Brady, Gracie; granddaughter, Charlotte, age 2; granddaughter on the way, Annabelle.
Funeral services will be held at Friday, June 8, at 11 a.m. at McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 7, from 6-9 p.m.
