James E. (Jim) Rogers, age 60, of Cumming passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and extraordinary man and a friend to anyone he met. His strengths were his faith and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jody Paul and Mittie Rogers; and sister, Sharon Russell.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Rogers of Cumming; children, Deirdre and Ed DiMiranda of Jacksonville, Fla., Nathan Rogers of Cumming, Joshua Rogers of Cumming, Laura and David Clement of Cumming, Amanda and Jonathan Duke of Dahlonega; sisters and brothers, Julia Faye Rogers, Tommy Rogers, Pat (Dan) Judy, Jean Sisson, Jerry (Debbie) Rogers, Matt Rogers, all of Florida; grandchildren, Addison Clement, Gage Lathem, Aurora Duke, Hunter Duke, Edward, Sebastian and Francisco DiMiranda.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 28, at 3:30 p.m. at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Tim Holland and the Rev. Bill Barrett officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, Feb. 27, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 28, from 1 p.m. until hour of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Healthcare Cancer Research Center.
